of grey values (numbers) in the computer memory (bottom row). The following settings of the

displayed image are shown: the grabbed image is displayed with no changes to image settings (A);

the grabbed image is displayed with increased contrast (B); the grabbed image is displayed with

decreased contrast (C). See chapter Image contrast and brightness, page 27, for explanation about

image contrast.
